Ingredients

  • 2 family-size (7 g each) black tea bags

  • ¼ tsp. baking soda

  • 6 cups filtered or spring water, at room temperature, divided. Four cups is about 1L

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Directions

Place tea bags and baking soda in a large glass jar or pitcher.

Bring 4 cups (about 1L) of the water to a rolling boil in a saucepan over high; immediately pour over tea bags, making sure bags are submerged. Steep for 15 minutes. Remove bags and gently squeeze; discard bags.

Stir in sugar until dissolved. Stir in remaining 2 cups water.

Refrigerate, uncovered, until chilled, about 30 minutes. Serve over ice. Store covered in refrigerator up to 2 days.

Boil my kettle full of water Pour into jug with baking soda and sugar. Stir to dissolve. Add tea bags and leave for 15min.

Add 2 cups water after. Chill.
